Extended walk-in help hours today and Tuesday for benefits open enrollment
Human Resources will provide walk-in lab hours through 7 p.m. today and Tuesday (Nov. 11-12) to assist employees with benefits enrollment. The extended walk-in lab hours will be offered in Freehafer Hall, Room 1-5. Employees coming for assistance should enter through the front door of Freehafer Hall at 401 S. Grant St.
Human Resources is urging all faculty and staff who have not yet enrolled for 2014 benefits to enroll early this week to beat the rush. Open enrollment ends at 6 p.m. (ET) Friday (Nov. 15). No changes for 2014 benefits will be accepted after that time.

* Enrollment information is available on the Web at www.purdue.edu/benefits/enroll.html.
All benefits-eligible employees who miss the deadline for choosing a medical plan or opting out of Purdue medical coverage for 2014 will be enrolled automatically in 2014's highest deductible medical plan, the Purdue Health Plan Plus HSA 2. However, these employees will not have a health savings account through the University and will not receive a 2014 HSA contribution from Purdue. For details, see the recent Purdue Today article at www.purdue.edu/newsroom/purduetoday/releases/2013/Q4/employees-who-dont-enroll-will-be-placed-in-highest-deductible-medical-plan-for-2014.html.To choose a medical plan or opt out of medical coverage for next year and to select other 2014 benefits, employees must enroll through EBenefits by this Friday's deadline. To enroll, faculty and staff go to the Purdue Employee Portal at www.purdue.edu/employeeportal, click the EBenefits link at the top of the portal and then sign on using their Purdue career account user name and password.
