Volunteers needed for Project Move Out

April 29, 2013

Boiler Volunteer Network is requesting volunteers for Friday through Monday (May 3-6) for its 13th annual Project Move Out, which will allow students to donate items to families and organizations in need.

Volunteers are needed to help unload trucks and sort donated items at the Purdue Armory. Shifts are two-and-a-half hours in duration. To volunteer, please fill out the form at https://purdue.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_0CblYyxmtBlDX5X. The form requires volunteers' names, email addresses, campus phone numbers, and the shift for which they are volunteering.

Those who wish to volunteer for more than one shift should contact Sarah Vaughn at sustainability@purdue.edu. Requests to volunteer for multiple shifts should include the dates and times of the shifts desired. Shift details can be found at the sign-up website listed above.

Project Move Out benefits local community members and keeps donated items out of landfills. Students can donate items such as food, clothing, shoes, cleaning supplies, electronics, books, furniture, laundry soap, winter coats and luggage. Donated items are given to local community relief organizations.
