Allergies and stress focus of Center for Healthy Living workshops in May

Faculty and staff can learn ways to cope with seasonal allergies and stress at the Center for Healthy Living's May workshops.

Seasonal Allergies

The changing of the seasons can be beautiful this time of year. It can also be miserable and frustrating for allergy sufferers. Learn about causes, symptoms, treatment options and prevention strategies.

Stress and Work-Life Balance
May 22. 12:10-12:50 p.m. CHL Conference Room 137.
Presenter: Cheryl Laszynski, RN health coach
Does your life feel out of balance? Are you being pulled in too many directions, and the stress is starting to build? Learn to recognize the sources of stress, our body and mind reactions to stress, and strategies for balancing our work and home life demands. The discussion will include resources on the pathophysiology of laughter, coping techniques and relaxation techniques.

The workshops will be at the Center for Healthy Living (CHL), located in the Purdue West Shopping Center at 1400 W. State St. Parking is available on-site, and no permit is needed.

The Center for Healthy Living offers programs on a variety of topics designed to educate employees and improve their overall health.
