Eleanor O. Kaplan Award accepting nominations
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2013 Eleanor O.
Kaplan Award for Exceptional Customer Service.
The award is sponsored by Business Management.
Nominees for the award must work in the business management area on the West Lafayette campus as a business manager/post-award specialist, account assistant, business assistant or account clerk; have at least three years of service within Business Services; and, have exhibited exceptional customer service in one or more of the following ways:
* Made significant contributions to improving customer service
in their department, school or organization.
* Demonstrated the ability to incorporate outstanding improvements in their department, school or organization through individual leadership.
* Exhibited creative or innovative methods in providing customer service.
Specific examples are vital to a strong nomination.
Nominations can be made with a form located at www.purdue.edu/business/bs-ba/pdf/KaplanNominationForm.pdf and/or with a letter of recommendation that cites specific examples of exceptional customer service. Letters of support from a variety of stakeholders will strengthen a nomination.

email@example.com. The deadline for
nominations is Feb. 8.
Recipients of the award will receive a $100 cash prize, have their names engraved on a plaque displayed in Freehafer Hall, and be recognized during an award ceremony.

The award honors the memory of Eleanor Kaplan, who began her career at Purdue as the business administrator in the Education Department in 1979. She transferred to the School of Management in 1981, where she spent the rest of her career as a business administrator. Kaplan is remembered for her positive and cheerful attitude and for illustrating the importance of customer service.
