Print and Poster Exchange scheduled for fall break

October 3, 2012

The annual Print & Poster Exchange from the University Visual Arts Committee, offered free to faculty and staff, is set for Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 8-9) with leftovers on Wednesday.

Every fall, this program offers variety to campus walls by changing the mood, color or century of visual pieces. Offices, conference rooms, labs and other rooms across campus display artworks from UVAC, which owns almost 6,000 prints and posters.

Donors may attend the "first chance" session 10 a.m. to noon Monday; donations can even be taken at the door and are of modest dollar amounts. Donors are also eligible to choose two additional posters. Trading sessions for those currently borrowing, one item for one item, are Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning. A new loan session for new participants or those interested in expanding their collection is Tuesday afternoon. A leftovers session is offered Wednesday morning.

The exchange is in Pao Hall, Room 1154. Details of schedule and procedure are at https://engineering.purdue.edu/UVAC/.

The University Visual Arts Committee is also involved in Art in the Classroom, the placement of sculptures on campus, and services to departments or offices wishing to acquire artwork. The committee appreciates support of its mission.
