HR shares results of long term care insurance enrollment

More than 600 people enrolled for long term care insurance during Purdue's initial enrollment offering in April, according to Human Resources.

Breakdown of 610 people who enrolled:

* Employees -- 514
* Spouses/same-sex domestic partners -- 92
* Other family members – 2
* Retirees -- 2

Selected duration of benefit:

* Three years – 448
* Five years -- 162

Selected monthly benefit:

* $3,000 – 218
* $4,500 – 307
* $6,000 – 56
* $7,500 -- 29

Selected inflation option:

* Three percent compounded annual increase – 162
* Five percent compounded annual increase – 43
* Future purchase option -- 405

The average age of those enrolling was 54.
