Human Resources Mission, Vision, and Strategic Goals For You

Smarter Healthcare

Purdue University strives to provide high-quality, affordable healthcare resources to our employees. In an effort to help employees find the best care at the most cost-effective prices based on Purdue’s medical plans, Human Resources is providing the resources below to assist you and your family.

Anthem Care & Cost Finder and Sydney app

A free service (for Purdue employees, their spouses and adult dependents who are covered on a Purdue medical plan) that helps you find doctors, check quality and compare costs all in one place. Prices for medical services vary a lot; it may surprise you that prices for medical services can be different depending on where you go.

  • One search provides cost and quality details about in-network doctors, specialists, hospitals and urgent care facilities.
  • Cost estimates are based on your benefit plan, so you get a true picture of what you will pay.
  • You can search by type of care, provider name, medical procedure, test or medical condition.
  • You can see how other members rate doctors on things like the care they provided.

Take a look at the Care & Cost Finder demo.
Register for Care & Cost Finder for access to your one-stop shop to manage your healthcare budget.

Even on the go, you can find care and costs via Sydney, Anthem’s mobile app. For more details, take a look at “’Sydney’ – Anthem’s New Mobile App – Delivers Highly Personalized, Custom Experience to Users.”
