Operational Research Applied to Health Services (ORAHS) Conference
International Perspectives on Operations Research and Health Care
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
www.ORAHS2008.com

ORAHS is the EURO Working Group on Operational Research Applied to Health Services. It was formed in 1975 as a special interest group in EURO, providing a network for researchers involved in the application of systematic and quantitative analysis in support of planning and management in the health services sector.

Traditionally the group meets every summer, for one week, in a different European host country. In 2008, North America will be hosting ORAHS conference for the first time in history. Meetings, like those in EURO, are open to anyone with a quantitative background and those who have interest in the subject area. Along with the meetings, study tours to healthcare facilities are arranged and provide an opportunity for planning and management problems with local health services managers.
