Notices
- Applicants using the Safari Web browser currently are experiencing technical difficulties with the online application. Although work is underway to resolve the issue, it may be some time before the problem is fixed. Students should use a different browser.
- Students may have only one active application per term. Students who submit multiple applications for a single term will experience delays in the processing of their application.
Apply Early
High school seniors are encouraged to apply early in their senior year (August-December). Many programs have deadlines and students who apply later are less likely to receive decisions by December 11, 2009, the date Purdue will begin releasing fall 2010 admission decisions.
Transfer students and students applying for spring or summer enrollment are encouraged to apply as early as possible, and no later than the deadline for the term they want to enroll.
Online Application
When creating a new online application, you will create a login and PIN. You must remember your unique login and PIN so that you may return to your application, either to finish and submit a saved application or to check the status of your application after submission.
You will not be able to reset or retrieve your login or PIN automatically. If you want a copy of your online application, you must print each section individually prior to submitting the application. Once it is submitted, you cannot print a copy.
If you have started an application and have forgotten your login and PIN, you may contact the Office of Admissions, (765) 494-1776 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday, to request your login information or that your password be reset. You will be required to provide personal identification information that will allow us to verify the account information requested is yours.
Completing Your Application
After submitting an online application, students should check their application status to determine what items are necessary to complete the application, such as a high school transcript or an ACT or SAT test score. Your Purdue application is not complete until all items are received by the Purdue Office of Admissions.
The material necessary to complete your application will not appear as received on your online application summary until Office of Admissions has received and processed the material. This process could take up to four weeks after the material arrives.
Admission Decisions
For students applying for fall 2010, Purdue will begin releasing admission decisions after 5 p.m. on December 11, 2009. To ensure thorough evaluation of each application, the Purdue Admissions Committee requires at least 10 weeks to make a decision after an application is completed (including receipt of standardized test score and high school transcript).Paper Applications
