Purdue biochemistry professor Clint Chapple named to National Academy of Sciences

Clint Chapple, distinguished professor in the Purdue University College of Agriculture’s Department of Biochemistry, has been elected to the National Academy of Sciences. NAS membership recognizes achievement in original research and is widely regarded as one of the highest honors in science and technology.

'This Is Purdue': Celebrating 50+ years of Purdue friendship

The new episode of “This Is Purdue” features former Purdue football players Mike Phipps and Don Kiepert, who played on the iconic late 1960s team under Coach Jack Mollenkopf. This quarterback duo friendship started at Purdue, and the two have been best friends for more than 50 years. Phipps and Kiepert share stories about loyalty, persistence and the legacy behind Boilermaker football legend Leroy Keyes.

Engineering dean receives IEEE INFOCOM's highest award

Mung Chiang, the John A. Edwardson Dean of the College of Engineering, is the recipient of the 2022 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) INFOCOM Achievement Award. Chiang’s pioneering contributions to wireless communications and computer networking are foundational to shaping the future of the technology and engineering industries.

Baseball's graduating seniors receive diplomas from President Daniels

Purdue baseball held a special commencement ceremony Tuesday (May 10) at Alexander Field to recognize the program's spring graduates. President Mitch Daniels presented diplomas to the eight players, who will be away for a game at Northwestern during traditional commencement ceremonies. Celebrating giant leaps with alumna banner

Operations and Maintenance staff on Tuesday (May 10) installed a new banner featuring Purdue alumna Sirisha Bandla on Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering. Bandla, who earned her bachelor’s degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering, became the 26th Purdue alumni in the Cradle of Astronauts with her suborbital flight on Virgin Galactic's VSS Unity on July 11, 2021.
