Undergraduate students have until July 10 to submit their abstracts to present a research talk, poster, or virtual presentation on their research or creative endeavors during the 2025 Purdue Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Undergraduate students have until July 10 to submit their abstracts to present a research talk, poster, or virtual presentation on their research or creative endeavors during the 2025 Purdue Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium.

The symposium will showcase undergraduate research with students delivering in-person presentations on July 30 and virtual presentations from July 28-August 1. Undergraduate researchers and scholars from all disciplines are encouraged to participate in this event. Any Purdue student working with any mentor or any non-Purdue student working with a Purdue research mentor or program can participate in the symposium.

On July 30, poster sessions will be in the PMU Ballrooms from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., and 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the research talks will be in various rooms in Grissom Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The abstract booklet, program, and presenter times will be published closer to the event.

Throughout the event, the virtual conference will host recorded presentations from July 28 to August 1 on the symposium website. This allows presentations from Purdue students not conducting work on-campus and those who have already left campus for the summer to present their work.

The process of disseminating research results, gaining valuable feedback from peers and professors, and networking with other participants is a vital step in the learning process of engaging in a research experience.

The Purdue Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium is organized by the Office of Undergraduate Research. In addition to the Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium, the OUR recommends various summer undergraduate research seminars with topics such as presenting research, marketing research experiences, graduate fellowships and a series on incorporating advanced computing in research.
