Scholarship Application

Prior to applying for Summer Stay Scholars, please review the following information to help you better understand how the scholarships work and who qualifies.

How does it work?

If you are chosen for Summer Stay Scholars, you will receive up to $2,500 to pay your estimated summer cost of attendance not already covered by other gift aid. A $2,500 scholarship will cover full tuition and fees for resident students and offer a sizeable decrease in total cost for non-resident or international students. Also, there are several housing/dining scholarships available for which all applicants will be automatically considered.

As a Summer Stay Scholar you will take classes and work at least 140 hours conducting faculty-led research or participating in an on-campus internship. You will have the opportunity to select 6-7 of the nine credit hours for summer 2018. The other two credit hours will consist of a two-credit wellness-focused course (PES 11100). PES will be taken via an online format. Students in need of an additional credit hour may select a one-credit professional portfolio-building course (ENTR 46000), Bowling (PES  11600), Tennis (PES 11600), or Golf (PES 11600).

Who qualifies?

To qualify for Summer Stay Scholars, you must have:

  • Attended your first semester at a Purdue University campus in Fall 2017 or earlier
