2019-20 Student Employee of the Year - Lauren Bontrager, Recreation & Wellness

Bontrager excelled in her student employment position with Recreation & Wellness, where she works as an intern for member services. She was named RecWell's Employee of the Month for February. Bontrager was a Boiler Gold Rush 2019 Team Supervisor after serving as a team leader the previous two years, is a member of the Vice Provost Student Advisory Board, vice president of Higher Ground Dance Company and general manager for College Mentors for Kids.

Spring 2020 - Student Employee of the Semester - Julianna Aker, Purdue Convocations

As a Production Intern, Julie's responsibilities include working on advance details, show preparation, transporting artists, purchasing catering supplies, and other day of show duties. Production Interns also run artist merchandise tables, assist with Friends of Convocations parking, and provide clerical support in the Convos office by answering phones, greeting guests, and assisting other members of the department with a variety of tasks. Julie is being recognized for being quick to learn her responsibilities, being thorough in the execution of her duties, and always having a personable and professional attitude. Spring 2020 - Outstanding New Student Employee - Erin Greising, Shreve Hall

Erin works in the Student Office in Shreve Hall with responsibilities that involve sorting and distributing mail, customer service, helping residents with questions, checking out equipment, games and DVD's, and checking residency to verify handing out temp keys or door swipes. Erin has been recognized for her strong work ethic and willingness to go above her call of duty. "Since being hired Erin has filled all shifts that we needed covered. She is always willing to pick up shifts that other student office staff need covered. She is always quick to wait on residents at the counter and always has such a positive attitude."
