Pamala Morris named associate director of inclusive excellence

The Purdue Institute for Cancer Research (PICR) has announced the appointment of Pamala Morris as its first associate director of inclusive excellence, effective March 1. Morris will serve in the new role while continuing as associate dean and director of the Office of Multicultural Programs (OMP) in the College of Agriculture.
Morris, who is also a professor of agricultural sciences education and communication, brings 25 years of professional experience in the area of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB), along with a history of successful leadership in raising understanding of and appreciation for DEIB. In her role as associate dean/director of OMP, Morris works collaboratively to advance pivotal initiatives involving diversity in recruitment and retention of faculty, staff and students, as well as foster welcoming and inclusive academic environments.

Morris will work together with PICR leadership, members, students and staff to drive initiatives that foster diversity within Purdue’s cancer research environment and further establish a welcoming, accessible and inclusive climate in which innovation thrives.
