Waivers for International Students - Waiver Deadlines

Waiver must be submitted and approved during the insurance open enrollment period for each semester:

Open enrollment period for the fall semester begins the first day of July and ends at 5:00 pm ET on September 5, 2023.
Open enrollment period for the spring semester begins the first business day of December and ends at 5:00 pm ET on February 1, 2024.

Those international students who do not have an approved waiver on file by the deadline will:

• Be required to purchase the Purdue student insurance plan
• Incur a registration hold that prohibits enrollment in future classes
• Incur a $200 late fee
• Incur additional late fees if not approved by the time enrollment for the next semester begins
