Purdue board member joins Purdue delegation at AFA 2024 Air Warfare Symposium

Retired Air Force Major General Theresa Carter, a member of the Purdue Board of Trustees and member of the Military Advisory Board, participated in the AFA 2024 Air Warfare Symposium held in Aurora, Colorado. The symposium convened senior leaders to deliberate on critical matters impacting the Air Force and Space Force and served as a large-scale professional development symposium for Guardians and Airmen from across the world. The event brought together more than 19,000 in-person participants and an additional 10,000 virtually.

As part of the Purdue University delegation, which included members from Purdue Global, Purdue University Online, Daniels School of Business, Office of Industry Partnerships and Purdue Applied Research Institute, General Carter interacted with symposium attendees and attended a variety of discussions led by senior leaders focused on pivotal issues affecting the Air and Space Forces.

In addition to her presence in the symposium sessions, General Carter seized the opportunity to engage with military members and industry partners in attendance. Her interactions facilitated meaningful exchanges of ideas and perspectives, further strengthening relationships between academia, the military, and industry.
