Update: Section of Martin Jischke Drive closes, parking removed around Meredith Residence Hall Nov. 15

Updated Nov. 9, 2018 to reflect a revised phasing schedule and new title — originally titled "Section of Martin Jischke Drive closes, parking removed around Meredith Residence Hall Nov. 5"

With construction of the new Meredith South residence hall, which is expected to be complete in August 2020, beginning in earnest, North Martin Jischke Drive will close between First Street and the parking lot northwest of Wood Residence Hall on Thursday (Nov. 15). Street parking along this section of North Martin Jischke Drive will be unavailable. Sidewalks near the intersection of North Martin Jischke Drive and First Street will be closed. The parking lots south of Meredith Residence Hall and southwest of Wood Residence Hall are closed. Residence hall permit parking spaces located south of Duhme Residence Hall and in the lot between Shreve Residence Hall and Smalley Center for Housing and Food Services Administration have changed to A/B permit parking. Alternate parking for residence hall permit holders is available in the McCutcheon Drive Parking Garage on the second level and above with CityBus service available nearby.

Bicycle parking southwest of Meredith Residence Hall has been relocated east of the facility.

Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians should use caution in the area, seek alternate routes and obey all posted signs.
