Referral bonus program continues for Physical Facilities and Student Life employees
Physical Facilities and Student Life are continuing to participate in an employee referral bonus program. Employees who refer someone for an open service staff position (e.g. custodial, dining, maintenance) will receive a $100 bonus if their referral is hired and successfully completes their 90-day provisional period. The applicant must include the employee’s name in Taleo in order to receive credit after the other conditions are met.
In order to be eligible, the referred candidate must be a new Purdue employee and meet the qualifications for an existing, open service staff position, and the employee doing the referring must be a Physical Facilities or Student Life staff member who is not at the Vice President level or above, a member of Human Resources or a manager with hiring authority over the referred candidate.

Q: How can I obtain a $100 referral bonus?
A: You must refer a candidate for an existing, open service staff position in Physical Facilities or Student Life, and your candidate must meet all of the qualifications for the position, be hired and complete their provisional period in order for you to receive the bonus. The candidate cannot currently work for Purdue University. The candidate must note in Taleo that they were referred by a Purdue employee with your name included.
Q. When will I receive the $100 referral bonus?
A: If your referral is hired, you will receive the referral bonus after the new employee completes his or her provisional period.
Q: What if I want to refer a person for an administrative position?
A: You may refer someone for an administrative position, but you will not be eligible for a $100 bonus. The referral program is only for service staff positions.
Q: How will Human Resources know that I referred someone?
A: The person you are referring should note that they were referred by you in Taleo.
Q: If I’m an AP staff member am I still eligible to receive a referral bonus?
A: You are eligible if you are below the Vice President level, not a member of Human Resources, and not the manager with hiring authority over the referred candidate. You must be referring someone to an open service staff position, but you do not need to be service staff member yourself.
Q: If I referred someone last month who was then hired, am I eligible to receive a bonus?
A: To date, all referrals made during calendar year 2018 are eligible for the bonus.
