2017-2018 performance evaluation available in SAP; criteria provided

The 2017-2018 Physical Facilities performance evaluation is now available via the Purdue SAP portal for employees and supervisors to begin documenting notes and accomplishments. Although performance evaluations were anticipated to be accessed using Successfactors, SAP will continue to be used for the current evaluation period: May 1, 2017 – April 30, 2018.

Process and Resources

This performance evaluation procedure is similar to those of recent years, and performance management resources are available for employees and managers/supervisors on the Leadership and Organizational Development website.

Any details provided in the evaluation will be visible by both the employee and the supervisor, but edits can only be made by the individual who entered the information.

Additional information, including the timeline for individual steps of the performance evaluation process, will be communicated at a later date.

Criteria

The following will continue to serve as the Physical Facilities performance evaluation criteria:

  • Culture and Values: Transparent, efficient, cost-effective, fun, impactful.
  • Job Mastery: Quality/quantity of work, timeliness of work, overall work results. Performs duties and responsibilities thoroughly, reliably and safely. Maintains high standards for quality and quantity of work, while following proper safety protocols and supporting safety initiatives. Goals specific to the individual and progress towards goal achievement are detailed in an attached document.
  • Professional Development: Goal attainment in the areas of learning and career development. Accepts responsibility for own actions and continually learns from new experiences. Demonstrates continuous learning by improvement of job-related skills. Demonstrates initiative and accepts new challenges; offers suggestions and develops or carries out new ideas.
  • Customer Care: Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers gaining trust and earning respect. Delivers quality service to both internal and external customers in a responsive and timely manner.
  • Teamwork: Develops and maintains good relationships with co-workers. Works in a spirit of cooperation with others to achieve shared goals. Communicates professionally and effectively with subordinates, peers, supervisors, clients, and the public. Promotes a positive and productive work environment.

For supervisory positions only:

  • Supervision: Establishment of goals for direct reports, individual and team accomplishments, and the ability to lead and motivate direct reports. Ensures that developmental plans are properly established and implemented. Monitors the quality of work reinforcing individual accomplishments. Deals with issues amongst direct reports firmly and in a timely manner. Ensures staff are appropriately recruited, selected, appraised, and rewarded.
