Virus causes temporary lock out of career accounts; contact ITaP to resolve
ITaP reported that a computer virus has infected a number of machines across campus. Users may receive prompts to enter their career account password on mobile devices, laptops or desktops. After the password is entered, a temporary lock out of up to 15 minutes from the user’s career account may occur.
ITaP is running a campus-wide scan for the virus, and computers may be operating slowly throughout the day as a result.
Employees who are locked out of their career accounts or have questions should contact the ITaP Customer Service Center at (765) 494-4000 or itap@purdue.edu.
