In-person orientation is held every two weeks beginning at 7:30 a.m. in PFSB, room 1179. Some topics covered include Human Resources information, parking, AO’s culture and safety training. There will be a second day of training for Operations and Maintenance employees.

Onboarding Coordinators
To help with orientation and the overall onboarding process, onboarding coordinators have been identified for each unit or department within AO. Onboarding coordinators will help enhance the hiring experience, remove some of the administrative work from hiring managers and ensure new employees get their credentials (PUID, emails, BoilerKey, etc.).

Other Initiatives
Other initiatives to enhance the onboarding process include the following:
- Checklist: A New Hire Orientation Checklist for new employees, supervisors and onboarding coordinators is now available.
- New at Purdue Program: This asynchronous, virtual program provides resources, processes and sites that assists new employees throughout their first year on the job. The program is accessible through SuccessFactors and was created for new hires and supervisors.
