Put safety in action during Safe + Sound Week
Administrative Operations staff are invited to participate in OSHA’s Safe + Sound Week, led by Environmental Health and Safety, Sept. 21-25. The national campaign highlights the importance of workplace safety and encourages employees to take an active role in creating a strong safety culture.
Throughout the week, AO staff can participate in a variety of activities, including games, trivia, safety challenges and recognition opportunities. Activities are designed to be engaging, encourage teamwork and help put workplace safety into action.
As part of Safe + Sound Week, the Purdue Chemical Engineering Safety Committee and Chemical Engineers for Safety Seminars (ChESS), in collaboration with EHS, will host a hands-on safety fair Thursday, Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Forney Hall of Chemical Engineering atrium. Participants can visit interactive stations covering a variety of workplace safety topics and learn more about putting safe practices into action.
AO staff are encouraged to participate as part of a team and make Safe + Sound Week a fun opportunity to connect with colleagues while keeping safety top of mind.
Stay tuned for more information, including participation details and activity materials. Together, we can help build a safer campus and keep safety in mind and excellence in action at Purdue.
