Reminder: Exterior modifications must be reviewed and approved by Campus Planning and Projects
As a reminder, all exterior modifications and/or additions must be approved by Campus Planning and Projects, the newly reorganized department that now includes Campus Planning and Architecture.
Exterior modifications and additions include, but at not limited to, temporary or semi-permanent structures such as sheds and storage containers.
Members of the campus community should contact the fire department to determine that the placement of a shed or container isn’t too close to a building and follows fire wall code.
Additionally, if storing hazardous waste and materials in containers, be sure to follow proper storing procedures.
To contact Campus Planning and Projects for services, complete a Work Request Form through DocuSign. For questions about the approval process, email Deb Johnson, assistant director of operations for Capital Planning and Projects, at dajohnson@purdue.edu. For questions about fire wall code or to request a fire safety inspection, please submit the contact form on the Purdue University Fire Department website. More information about storing hazardous waste and materials is available on the Environmental Health and Safety website.
