Purdue Memorial Union Atlas Family Marketplace transitioning to cashless July 6
The Atlas Family Marketplace, located on the ground floor of the Purdue Memorial Union (PMU) and managed by Purdue Food Co., will move to cashless operations beginning Monday, July 6. This change will align the marketplace with all Purdue Food Co. retail dining locations across campus, which already operate as cashless.
Guests visiting the Atlas Family Marketplace will be able to complete purchases using debit/credit cards, tap to pay, Dining Dollars and Retail Dining Membership.
To ensure accessibility for younger visitors, such as students attending summer programs, Purdue Food Co. offers meal vouchers that can be used at the Atlas Family Marketplace or any campus retail dining location. Meal vouchers are available in $10 or $15 denominations and can be ordered by emailing Emma Henning at henning-emma@aramark.com. Vouchers can only be redeemed in-person during regular business hours. They can also be customized with a department or organization logo and may include a line for an approved signature. Contact Emma with any questions.
Departments, organizations and parents interested in purchasing vouchers should provide the following details when placing an order:
- Voucher denomination ($10 or $15)
- Quantity requested
- Whether unused vouchers will be returned
- Desired expiration date
Orders must also include:
- Billing contact information or business office contact information (name, phone number and email address for invoicing, as campus billing is not used)
- Department or organization logo, if customization is requested
- Exact wording to appear on the invoice (e.g., “Conference Lunch,” “Track Recruiting Dinner”)
- Date of the event
Vouchers can be picked up at the Purdue Food Co. marketing office, located in room G085 on the ground floor of the PMU across from Anyway You Slice It.
If a purchase total is less than the voucher’s face value, no change will be given and purchasers will not be credited for unused amounts; if a purchase exceeds the voucher value, the user is responsible for paying the difference. Unused vouchers will not be credited unless they are physically returned to the Purdue Food Co. marketing office within five business days of pickup, unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance.
The transition to cashless service at the Atlas Family Marketplace reflects Purdue Food Co.’s continued effort to streamline dining operations while ensuring all campus visitors, including younger guests, have accessible and convenient payment options.
