Please join me in recognizing our public safety dispatchers during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, April 12-18. This is a time to acknowledge the dedicated professionals who serve as the first point of contact in emergencies, often providing calm and critical guidance when it matters most.
At Purdue, our dispatchers work around the clock to help keep our campus community safe—answering 911 calls, coordinating emergency response, activating PurdueALERT when needed, monitoring security systems and collaborating with public safety partners.
To help recognize dispatchers and other services workers, Administrative Operations continues our storytelling campaign: We Power Purdue. Through video features, the campaign spotlights individuals whose work is often behind the scenes but essential to making campus run smoothly.
