Shift differential pay increase to take effect July 1

Beginning July 1, Purdue University’s shift differential pay will increase from $0.45 to $0.70 per hour. The increase will affect qualifying Administrative Operations employees working evening and night shifts.

This increase recognizes the unique demands placed on employees who work outside regular business hours. It also better aligns with shift differential pay offered by peer institutions and local employers while positively contributing to AO’s Recruit and Retain Initiative.

The updated rate will apply automatically to all qualifying hours worked on or after July 1.
