Courtyard plaza between Purdue Memorial Union and Stewart Center to close for upgrades

The courtyard plaza between Purdue Memorial Union and Stewart Center will close this summer to facilitate upgrades. The project includes installation of waterproofing, reconstruction using new brick pavers, and the addition of a ramp for the Stewart Center entrance that will meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

The plaza closure is expected to begin May 19 and last through November. The southwest entrance to the Purdue Memorial Union and east entrance to Stewart Center will also be closed during this time frame.

Pedestrians should use caution in the area, obey posted signs and seek alternate routes.

Questions about the project may be directed to Mark Sammons, project manager, at masammons@purdue.edu.
