Fossils in the ‘Cradle of Humankind’ may be more than a million years older than previously thought

Darryl Granger, a professor of earth, atmospheric, and planetary sciences in Purdue’s College of Science, developed the technology that updated the age of an Australopithecus in Sterkfontein Cave – and new data pushes its age back more than a million years, to 3.67 million years old.

Ukrainian scholars prepare for Purdue arrival, gaining refuge from their war-torn country to restart academic endeavors
