Balqees Taj, Scott Curvin, Lashauna Perry, Najibullah Wardag, and Teresa Perry (all Building Services): It only takes a few seconds to tell someone that they are doing a great job. But I wanted to take a few minutes and tell the whole University that these five people have been providing a vital service for us and doing it very well for nearly a year now. These are members of the Expanded Disinfecting Operations Team that daily have been cleaning and sanitizing nearly every surface and touch point here for our faculty, staff, and students in Rawls Hall and Krannert Building. My thanks and gratitude to each of them. On my end of the building, I primarily see Balqees each day and want to highlight her work. She makes her way through the building, meticulously wiping down all surfaces; and when she has cleaned every door handle, drinking fountain, elevator button, crash bar, table top, etc., she gets some new supplies and starts over again. She is diligent, respectful of classes, self-motivated and thoughtful, and I know that under her mask, she must be always smiling.
