Those who helped after Dec. 7 water line break in Schleman Hall

Those who helped after Dec. 7 water line break in Schleman Hall: The staff in Student and Receivables Business Services on the third floor of Schleman Hall want to pass along our sincere thanks to all the Purdue staff who were involved in quickly responding to the utility disruption which resulted in broken water lines late in the afternoon on Dec. 7. Purdue staff promptly responded to our call and were quickly able to shut off the water and begin the cleanup. We don’t know the names of everyone who showed up but want to publicly offer a big “Thumbs Up” to employees from the Purdue Fire Department, REM, and Physical Facilities (Operations and Maintenance and Building Services). Because of their quick action the water damage was contained to the hallway with no damage to any of our workspaces or equipment. Thank you to all these folks and others who worked late into the night on Dec. 7 so that we were able to resume normal operations first thing on Dec. 8. You all did a great job. -- Richard Wells (Student and Receivables Business Services)
