Purdue University Childcare Task Force invites responses to child care survey

The Purdue University Childcare Task Force is inviting West Lafayette faculty, staff and students to complete a survey gathering feedback on current and future child care needs and resources. The survey deadline has been extended to March 27.

As announced in January, President Mung Chiang created the task force to increase the available capacity of two of the three child care centers that operate on campus, which serve children ages 6 weeks to school age. The panel is exploring opportunities for growth at the centers and seeking innovative solutions to remove staffing bottlenecks that have led simultaneously to a waitlist and unused physical capacity.

The survey aims to collect information on faculty, staff and students’ child care needs, challenges and preferences. Survey feedback will help guide the task force’s plan of action.

Provide feedback via the child care survey. For those where both parents/guardians work at or attend Purdue, limit responses to one per household.
