Turkish Student Association to hold vigil and fundraiser on Friday

The Purdue Turkish Student Association will hold a vigil on Friday (Feb. 10) to raise money in support of victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey early this week.

As of Wednesday morning (Feb. 8), more than 11,000 have been confirmed dead in the earthquake with thousands more injured or missing.

The vigil and fundraising event will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday (Feb. 10) in Room 1132, WALC. More information can be found here.

For the Fall 2022 semester, Purdue had 107 students and 15 researchers with Turkish citizenship on the West Lafayette campus, the Office of Global Partnerships reports.
