Toastmasters at Purdue invites campus community to open house
Purdue faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to attend a Toastmasters at Purdue open house on April 7 from noon to 1 p.m. The campus community is encouraged to attend in person in Wang Hall, Room 2501; however, in-person attendance will be limited to room capacity and on a first-come first-served basis. A hybrid Zoom option will also be available, and no registration is needed. A Zoom link can be requested using the “contact us” form on the Toastmasters website.
Toastmasters clubs teach their members a variety of communication and leadership skills that are useful in the workplace and classroom, including how to:
- Conduct effective meetings
- Practice time management
- Enhance listening skills
- Sharpen presentation skills
- Guide successful teams
Toastmasters at Purdue is a professional development club that meets weekly and is affiliated with Toastmasters International, a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs.
