Nominations sought for Purdue’s Student Life Impact Awards; opportunity to recognize engaged and exceptional Purdue alumni

The Office of the Vice Provost for Student Life is now accepting nominations for the 2023 Student Life Impact Awards. The Student Life Impact Awards have been established by the Office of the Vice Provost for Student Life to honor, recognize and engage exceptionally accomplished alumni and friends of Student Life at Purdue.

Student Life is accepting nominations for four awards. Honorees will be recognized at Student Life Honors program on April 16. Information on the awards, nomination process, and application links can be found below.

Student Life Service Award

Awarded to Purdue alumni who have demonstrated a commitment to their community through the development of or significant contributions to private or public programs that improve or enhance the quality of life for individuals, families, and communities.

Student Life Award for Outstanding Leadership

Presented to Purdue alumni who have exceptional careers and have shown long-term leadership within their chosen profession or have shown noteworthy professional accomplishments that reflect favorably on their profession, the university and society.

Student Life Distinguished Mentor Award

Winners can include non-alumni. The award honors and promotes the considerable efforts and accomplishments of individuals who consistently serve as effective mentors for students in areas within the division of Student Life at Purdue.

Student Life Young Alumni Award

Presented to a Purdue alum age 35 or younger who has shown outstanding career development, either through traditional channels or innovative approaches.

The Nomination Process
Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to nominate a valued colleague, supervisor, friend, volunteer, or mentor for recognition. Individuals can request that an employer submit a nomination. Nominators complete contact information for themselves and the nominee, write a nomination letter and include the nominee’s resume or curriculum vitae.
