Virtual event features Purdue chief of police on Wednesday (Dec. 7)

Lesley Wiete, chief of the Purdue University Police Department, will be the featured speaker at a Purdue for Life Foundation virtual event at 7 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 7). She will share her background as a 22-year veteran of PUPD — from patrol officer in 1999 to chief of police in 2022. Wiete will also discuss her vision for the department and her leadership style, including how she leads from the heart in a male-dominated profession.

This free event is the December installment of the virtual Cocktails and Conversation series. It is hosted by the Purdue Women’s Network, part of the Purdue for Life Foundation, as a way to empower women through meaningful engagement. Register now.
