Updates to systemwide policy and issuance of new standard

Effective Oct. 1, the following are in effect:

• Communicable Disease Emergencies and Pandemics (IV.A.8): Updates to this policy clarify the responsibility for declaring a public health emergency; the ability for the University to withdraw policies, standards and operating procedures issued in support of the public health emergency; and the inclusion of faculty, staff and student leadership on the West Lafayette campus in the development of campus plans for reducing risk.
  
• Emeritus Faculty (S-23): This new standard supports the Board of Trustees’ resolution and procedures for granting emeritus status. It outlines the eligibility requirements for, and the privileges and limitations of, the honor.
