Toastmasters at Purdue inviting campus community to open house

Purdue faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to attend a Toastmasters at Purdue open house from noon-1 p.m. Friday (Sept. 16). Attending in person in Wang Hall, Room 2501, is encouraged if possible. A hybrid Zoom option will be available as well; individuals can request the Zoom link through the Contact Us form on the Toastmasters at Purdue website.

Toastmasters clubs teach their members a variety of communication and leadership skills that are useful in the workplace and classroom, including how to:

  • Conduct effective meetings.
  • Practice time management.
  • Enhance listening skills.
  • Sharpen presentation skills.
  • Guide successful teams.

Toastmasters at Purdue is a professional development club that meets weekly and is affiliated with Toastmasters International, a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs.
