Fidelity can help employees understand market changes, what they mean for them, more

The market has been getting a lot of attention lately with its ups and downs. Fidelity, Purdue’s official provider of education, guidance and assistance related to retirement plan investments and decisions, helps answer questions employees may have in regard to market volatility and other retirement-related topics. 

As part of Purdue’s comprehensive benefits, Fidelity makes it easier for employees to get the help they need free of charge via a variety of ways: workshops, Ask Fidelity sessions, one-on-one meetings with Fidelity planners and more. Some of the ways in which Fidelity can assist employees are outlined below.

ASK FIDELITY SESSIONS

“Ask Fidelity: Understanding Your Options When Saving for College”

A dependent’s college costs may be one of the largest expenditures an individual ever makes. Gain a basic understanding of how to start saving now and the different saving and investing options. This session is available noon-1 p.m. ET Sept. 14 and Sept. 15. Register here.

ATTEND A LIVE VIRTUAL WORKSHOP

“Navigating Market Volatility”
This live, virtual workshop will review what is happening in the markets and why – and help answer questions such as: Should I move my investments to cash right now? If I don't yet have a plan for situations like this, where do I start? This session is available noon-1 p.m. ET Sept. 7 and Sept. 8. Register here.

MEET 1:1 WITH FIDELITY RETIREMENT PLANNERS 

One-on-one consultations with a Fidelity retirement planner are complimentary, and planning partners are welcome to join. Services offered include:

  • Helping you enroll in defined contribution or voluntary savings retirement plans.
  • Answering retirement questions.
  • Developing a comprehensive investment strategy.
  • Assistance with consolidating your retirement accounts.
  • Helping you plan for retirement income and explaining your options for taking money from your account(s) at retirement.
