Purdue's 2022 United Way campaign is now underway with the goal of raising $725,000 for local agencies. The campaign ends Nov. 16.
The campaign officially launched on Wednesday (Sept. 14) following a kickoff event on the Purdue Mall, with volunteers, organizers and this year’s campaign chair, Linda Mason, dean of the Graduate School, and vice chair Beth McNeil, dean of Libraries and School of Information Studies.
“What a great show of support at Wednesday’s kickoff! Thanks to all who came out to learn more about the United Way,” McNeil said. “Let’s keep this momentum going and show our community how much Purdue cares. We encourage faculty, staff and students to support Purdue’s United Way campaign.”

This year, the Purdue United Way Campaign is partnering with Aramark to hold a dining campaign. Patrons will have the opportunity to donate $1 to the campaign at most retail dining locations across campus Sept. 15-28. In addition, a campuswide silent online auction will be held Oct. 3-28. The campaign is currently seeking items and services to add to the auction. To contribute items or services, contact Megan Eberly, Purdue United Way director, at meberly@purdue.edu.
The ePledge online pledge system continues this year. Donors can make an unrestricted gift to the United Way of Greater Lafayette or choose a specific UWGL agency for their donations. Gifts can be made through payroll deduction or as a one-time donation. For credit card transactions, the United Way of Greater Lafayette contracts with CyberSource, a trusted name in e-commerce meeting industry security standards.
During the month of September, Boilermakers have the opportunity to help strengthen their community by volunteering in the United Way of Greater Lafayette’s Month of Service. Volunteer opportunities can be found here.
