New travel agency available Sept. 20 for faculty, staff and students traveling on University business

Beginning Sept. 20, all Purdue faculty, staff, students and others traveling on University business who need assistance booking arrangements will need to go through AAA Corporate Travel. The University’s current contract with Anthony Travel is ending. Concur is the University’s preferred way to book travel, and AAA Corporate Travel will be the agency if travelers want to talk to a live agent. As an exception, Athletics will continue to partner with Anthony Travel for their travel needs.

If travel arrangements cannot be managed through Concur, faculty, staff and students will need to use and submit a Purdue University Travel Reservation Form. A AAA Corporate Travel agent will then reach out to complete the reservation within 72 hours of submission. Reservations required for employee and student travel within 72 hours must be made by calling AAA Corporate Travel at 800-354-4514.

Purdue Travel will continue to cover the travel agency transaction fees for faculty, staff and students on the West Lafayette, Fort Wayne and Northwest campuses for University business travel booked through AAA Corporate Travel.

As previously announced, the change went into effect on Sept. 1 for nonemployees, including prospective faculty and staff, visiting professors and consultants, and student organizations. Beginning Sept. 20, all departments and organizations will be responsible for transaction fees for all nonemployee travel.

Those at Purdue Global and Purdue Polytechnic High Schools, as well as nonemployees and student organizations on all Purdue campuses, will be able to receive Purdue’s negotiated rates and discounts for travel arrangements booked through AAA Corporate Travel.

Questions about this change should be directed to Purdue Travel at 765-494-7354 or purduetravel@purdue.edu.
