University Vehicle parking permits to expire Aug. 1; new permits and process available
All current University Vehicle (UV) hangtag permits will expire Aug. 1. Previously, these permits have been valid for a period of five years with automatic payments assessed each year. The permits now cover a single year and expire each August, meaning permits for the upcoming academic year will expire Aug. 1, 2023.
Also new this year, deans, department heads or their designees may complete an online form to request one or more UV hangtags for the coming academic year. This was previously a manual process with a paper form sent to a specific individual within a department. The annual cost remains the same at $500 per hangtag. Account information is collected in the online form to process payment.
New hangtag permits will be issued to departments via campus mail beginning the week of July 18. Departments are encouraged to complete the online request form by July 15 in order to receive the new UV permits before the Aug. 1 expiration date for current permits. Permits may also be requested throughout the academic year. Allow one to two weeks for permits to be assigned and mailed.
UV hangtags should be appropriately displayed from the rearview mirror and may be used in any space posted as requiring a UV, A, A/B or A/B/C permit. UV spaces on the north academic campus are intended to support short-term business needs and are limited to two-hour use. Additionally, UV spaces are located in all parking garages and close to most buildings.
