Toastmasters at Purdue inviting campus community to open house
Purdue faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to attend a Toastmasters at Purdue open house from noon to 1 p.m. Friday (Jan. 14).
In-person and virtual attendance are available. The open house will be held in Wang Hall, Room 2501, and in-person attendance will be limited to room capacity and on a first-come, first-served basis. Per the Protect Purdue policy, all in-person attendees must wear a face covering. No registration is needed. Those who would like to attend virtually should use the "Contact Us" form on Toastmasters at Purdue website to request a Zoom link.
Toastmasters clubs teach their members a variety of communication and leadership skills that are useful in the workplace and classroom, including how to:
- Conduct effective meetings.
- Practice time management.
- Enhance listening skills.
- Sharpen presentation skills.
- Guide successful teams.
Toastmasters at Purdue is a professional development club and is affiliated with Toastmasters International, a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs.
