Purdue Global’s School of General Education accepting proposals for annual conference

The School of General Education at Purdue University Global is now accepting proposals for its 14th annual virtual general education conference, which will take place April 26-28. The theme of this year's conference is "General Education in Action: Bridging Disciplines."

The deadline to submit proposals is Feb. 1. All Purdue faculty, staff and administrators are invited to submit proposals.

The School of General Education continues the tradition of offering faculty, staff and administrators an online conference opportunity to share their latest research, classroom practice and scholarship of teaching and learning.

This year’s core conference tracks will be:

* Research and Innovation in General Education: Share research connected to general education disciplines and/or cross-disciplinary-related topics/research. A new special focus on research in practice has been added.

* Leadership: Present research and/or applications of leadership theory in practice in higher education to demonstrate ways to foster success in a complex global environment.

* Contemporary Challenges/Trends in Higher Education: Examine contemporary issues, problems and trends in higher education via research connected to general education.

* Diversity and Inclusivity within Higher Education: Showcase research that celebrates diversity and highlights the importance of inclusivity within higher education.

* Special Focus Lightning Sessions: Fast-paced and highly interactive “academic sound bite” sessions. Newly expanded to include original creative works.
