New website available for Emergency Preparedness and Planning
Emergency Preparedness and Planning has launched an updated website. The website is more user-friendly with a new layout and streamlined navigation.
The website now provides easy access to emergency plans, including the Integrated Emergency Management Plan (IEMP) and Building Emergency Plans (BEPs) for the West Lafayette campus. The IEMP incorporates all of the University’s major emergency planning programs to provide guidance, structure and direction in case of an emergency on the West Lafayette campus. The BEPs provide building-specific evacuation and shelter-in-place guidance. These elements assist building occupants with building-specific emergency resources. The campus community is highly encouraged to review the BEP for the campus buildings that they occupy and other planning tools on the new site to develop a personal emergency response plan.
The new site also details information about PurdueALERT, which is the University’s emergency notification system and part of the IEMP.
Contact Jefferson Howells, director of Emergency Preparedness and Planning, at 765-494-0446 or jfhowells@purdue.edu for assistance in locating information on the new site.
