MaPSAC awards grants to 14 employees for professional development

MaPSAC has awarded individual professional development grants to 14 management and professional staff members for the fall application cycle.

Grants up to $750 are awarded twice a year. MaPSAC, the Management and Professional Staff Advisory Committee, presented a total of $8,545 for its fall 2021 grants. The volunteer committee reviewed 21 eligible applications. The spring 2022 application period will open in February and be available to support activities occurring from Jan. 1, 2022, to Dec. 31, 2022.

Grant recipients, their positions and the areas in which they work are:

Suzanne Cyr, business manager/international sponsored program manager, Ag Business Office.

Denise Driscoll, CISTAR director of diversity and inclusion, Chemical Engineering.

Alicia Gilbert, senior academic advisor/student program coordinator, HHS Student Services.

Brian Gilbert, senior project manager, Real Estate.

Kelley Gillaspy, lead project manager, Purdue Healthcare Advisors.

Melissa Maze, senior IT business analyst, ITaP.

MacKenzie McIntosh, Histology Research Laboratory manager, Center for Comparative Translational Research.

Amanda Oller, assistant director, Fraternity, Sorority and Cooperative Life.

Katricia Sanchez, program manager, Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence.

Julia Sanders, senior managing director, professional, continuing, and online education, College of Science, College of Liberal Arts, and Purdue Online.

Xiao Yun Sim, career services consultant and employer coordinator, Center for Career Opportunities.

Manabu Taketani, program administrator, Asian American and Asian Resource and Cultural Center.
