PGSG to celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month

Purdue Graduate Student Government (PGSG) is honoring and celebrating LGBTQ+ History Month and 10 years of the LGBTQ+ Center at Purdue University at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 21 in Purdue Memorial Union’s South Ballroom.

The PGSG event, “Celebrating LGBTQ+ Activism at Purdue: The Past, Present and Future,” will feature a keynote presentation from Ronni Sanlo, playwright, author and LGBT historian. Sanlo is also the founder of the award-winning Lavender Graduation, a commencement event that honors the lives and achievements of LGBTQ students. She will speak not only from her perspective as a higher education or student affairs professor, LGBT center director, dean of students and faculty in residence, but also from her personal life experiences.

This event is open to the entire Boilermaker community. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 6 p.m. A photo booth and giveaways will be available before the presentation begins. Registration is currently open. For more information, contact pgsg.president@gmail.com.
