Engineering dean to testify at congressional hearing on expanding the US workforce in microelectronics
Mung Chiang, Purdue’s executive vice president for strategic initiatives and the John A. Edwardson Dean of Engineering, will testify at 10 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 2) before the U.S. House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology during a hearing on "Ensuring American Leadership in Microelectronics."
Chiang will speak about the critical need to quickly accelerate expansion of the US workforce in this far-reaching industry and how Purdue and other US universities can and should play an important role in coordination with industry, state and federal partners.
Testimony during the hearing will be livestreamed.
