Building access and operational adjustments through Jan. 2

With the conclusion of on-site instruction for the semester, some operational adjustments are being made on the West Lafayette campus due to decreased campus activity for the coming weeks.

Building access

All academic and administrative buildings will be locked at 5 p.m. Dec. 22 and will remain locked through Jan. 2. Card swipe access will be determined by the access control manager, if applicable.

Academic and administrative facilities will return to their normal unlock and lock schedule on Jan. 3 – unlocking will occur at 7 a.m. and locking at 6 p.m. on weekdays. Buildings are locked over the weekends.

Exceptions to the above schedule include the following:

  • Athletics facilities.
  • Buildings that house library operations; hours are available online.
  • Córdova Recreational Sports Center; hours are available online.
  • Purdue Research Foundation facilities.
  • Residence halls.
  • Stewart Center and Purdue Memorial Union; hours are available online.

If other building access arrangements need to be made, coordinate in advance with a building deputy

Mail and deliveries

There will be no shipping and receiving to and from campus over the holidays and winter recess days. Campus deliveries will resume on Jan. 3.

Building walk-throughs

During periods of low activity, Facilities Operations will be performing building walk-throughs to check systems that may need attention, such as heating units.
