Purdue Musical Organizations to present free Purduette Premiere Concert

The Purduettes will open their 2021-22 performance season with the free Purduette Premiere Concert at 7 p.m. Friday (Sept. 10) at Loeb Playhouse in Stewart Center.

Sponsored by Purdue Musical Organizations, the Purduette Premiere Concert is a free performance and open to Purdue University students, faculty, and staff in accordance with Protect Purdue protocols for the West Lafayette campus. Tickets are not needed. BoilerLink event registration will be used and guests will be asked to provide their Purdue email address for entry and follow all COVID-19 guidelines in place at the time of event, including masking and social distancing as directed. The event will be livestreamed for those unable to join in person; more information at purdue.edu/pmo.

Known for an ever-polished and professional look and style, the Purduettes consistently highlight the musical talents of the more than 65 vocalists through full ensemble selections as well as small group and solo presentations. Celebrating music of all genres with a vast repertoire including pop, classical, contemporary, country, swing, patriotic, Broadway, gospel and jazz, this ensemble of alto and soprano voices represents the brightest and best from a variety of majors and areas of study. Maintaining a high level of academic achievement, the Purduettes pursue excellence on and off the stage, employing a leadership honorary and a mentor program to help further the development and lives of each individual, while involving Purdue alumni and community leaders through the outreach efforts of the program.

Purdue Musical Organizations offers six choral ensembles and one handbell choir. PMO proudly serves Purdue as ambassadors of goodwill on campus, across the country and around the world.
