Flu shots available to Purdue community via designated locations, flu shot events

Employees and students on the West Lafayette campus have access to free flu vaccines again this year via designated locations and flu shot events. Regardless of location, individuals coming for a flu shot should bring their Purdue University ID (PUID) card or their Anthem medical plan ID card.

“We are excited to again be able to offer opportunities for members of the Purdue community to get their flu shots,” says Candace Shaffer, senior director of benefits in Human Resources. "Our flu shot offerings come via a Purdue community effort to ensure our faculty, staff and their loved ones can get their flu shots easily and conveniently.

"We have two designated locations on the West Lafayette campus where individuals can go on their own schedule as well as numerous flu shot events at the Co-Rec that provide even more flexibility to our population. Regional campuses also have flu shot events set up to serve their populations. We hope the increased availability to receive the flu vaccine will increase the number of individuals who get their flu shots this year, thus providing our Boilermaker family protection against the virus.”
